MARY TIMONY The former Helium member gets her Wicca on in a tedious listen. Songs abound with Earth-friendly titles like “In the Grass” and “Moon Song”, punctuated by what sounds like harpsichord and various other renaissance fair instrumentation. Timony’s voice is fine, but tracks go on for what feels like forever under droning, repetitive choruses. Lyrical content about pirates and song titles like “Hard Times Are Hard” do little to help the situation, resulting ultimately in an album that is not so much a failure as simply forgettable.
